Hyosung - Top Secret

So! Hello people! The update of today is another music review. And the review will be one of my favorite girls in the kpop world. So today I will be writing about Hyosung's solo debut "Top Secret"

So for the ones who are not familiar with her, she is a member of a Korean girls group, called Secret, the group is quite popular and has been around for quite a while, they are famous for their sexy concepts (as many other female idols). Anyhow Hyosung is one of the members of this group and is famous for her nice attitude, her "gummy" smile and glamorous body (let's face it most of Korean female idols are just skinny) my personal opinion she looks more healthy.
Now lets talk firts about her song "Good Night Kiss"

The song is cathchy, it is indeed a good selling song! Usually I tend not to like many songs of female idols, because they have something that is quite annoying and quite forced and also you easily get bored of it. But is also my opinion because I prefer song that have more impact (vocal impact) and are more strong in sound. And not many female idols have a strong voice and even if they do, their companies don't give them songs where they can show that potential and give them plain rhythm.
Personally I don't think Hyosung's voice is the greatest one, please don't misunderstand me, I love her but I have to be objective. I think though her voice has potential and maybe her company should train her properly for singing and give her better song that will highlight her voice.
Now lets talk more about the song. As I mentioned before the song is great as selling her debut and it is the song that I will put on my playlist but, there is always a but... it doesn't highlight her voice. But I don't have anything else to complain, personally I enjoyed the song, it captured me immediately, don't know if I will get tired of it soon, I actually I don't think so but maybe later as usually happens with commercial pop. But is a good hit song. Easy to recognize after you listen to it, as a marketing point of view it is perfect selling!

Now the video...the video is sexy, she gorgeus and stunning, I mean if you don't notice that you are blind but for me as a female it is quite awkard to watch. I can recognize if a girl has a good body and I will compliment on that fact, I like to see if a girl is wearing clothes that highlight her attributes. And as I said before I really like her. But the video is clearly targeting males which it is quite unfair. I mean when I was watching I felt awkard and was hoping that noone noticed me watching this video, because felt like watching something bad. I could be my perception but I read some comments and many females didn't felt comfortable watching this. TS Ent could still make a good video with a sexy concept for her but targeting both genders and not selling the image of Hyosung as meat. No offense, but I believe in sexiness that is more natural, not forced and more mature. Wearing little clother and moving provocativedoesn't mean sexiness. Maturity, femenine and elegance show sexiness as well. So my complain is more to the media that is selling missinterpretation of concepts. Because I also know many males who don't feel comfortable with a girl showing too much or moving provocative, they find it fake and awkard.
Ofcourse I know Hyosung can't go against her company, as many idols, and have to do as told.
I like her more in her underwear CF or whatever...she looks more natural and not so forced.
I mean you can tell she is the sexy type but she the lovely type too. She is natural.
Conclusion the image on the video, doesn't suit her completly. She is sexy but cute too, she needs to display her natural beauty and I am sure she has that elegant and feminine sexiness.

Now lets talk about the mini album. the other songs are:  Don't know women (feat  J'Kyun) - Good Night Kiss - I Hate Night Time.
-Don't know women; is up beat, very lively song, for just one details reminded me of "Poison" of Secret (her group) but it is a nice song indeed, another song to my playlist.
-Good Night Kiss; you already know...
-I hate night time; another up beat song, nice for the playlist.
In conclusion, in somehow I am glad to hear a ballad and hear some more energetic songs. As debut, very lively, it is a shame that there is only three songs though...I think everyone will remember her debut and probably we could expect more as solo from her.
