So today after so many days without writing, we have music review post! Actually there is many music I will like to write a review on but today the chosen one is Kamijo!
If you are not familiar with Japanese music, specially visual kei then you probably are wondering who is this guy? Well Kamijo is a very famous singer in the Visual Kei music field. He was vocalist of the band Lareine and then more people knew him because he was vocalist of Versailles and now he is as solo singer.
Moulin Rouge is one of his latest songs but previously to that he already released one single, a mini album, this single and one that is coming next. So he actually always is creating new songs. His voice is powerful and just precious. If you never have listened to him then I will recommend you to do so. His voice is very nice and is amazing for ballad songs or very hard rock songs, he can sing anything and his voice adjust beautifully. Just compare his voice in Lareine and Versailles, many people can't believe he was the same guy.
The song is fun to listen to. Once again this song is different from Symphony of the Vampire or even Grazioso. I just love how Kamijo plays with melodies and doesn't get stuck on one melody, he just tries different aspects of rock music.
Just a little but it made me remember Acid Black Cherry with their first song, was it Black Cherry? sorry that I don't remember the song title, please write below if you know the title ^^;; Anyhow even though actually has nothing to do, I mean I remember it because of the fun or up beat of the song or even the debut song of Gremlins...the three songs are different but has that kind of jazzy, fun beat inside a rock song.
The video is another thing, I actually didn't like it and found it boring and if it wasn't because of Kamijo I would have just closed the window. I actually just opened another tab and kept listening to the song but stopped watching the video. I was really disappointed of the low budget video and so not creative video when the video had the potential to be creative and introduce us to a magical world. I mean the video is not fair to such an awesome song!
I could write more about how unfair was this video to the song, how terrible it was. Anyhow I will leave it for you to watch and have your own perception of he song and video (specially the song, the song worth it!)
So today I will write brief music review too. Sorry that I am writing so little but well a lot of assessments due soon and well they take all my time!
So today I will be writing about the new PV of Xepher
So if you are not very familiar, to be honest I am not really familiar either, I started listening this Vkei band not too long ago but I do enjoy of the few songs I have listened of them. Their music has a nice balance of melody and strength of beat...don't know really how to describe it, I am not a music critic after all and despite their "scary looks" I think their music is not how they look but I still enjoy of the visual style
The song Lost Eyes is their latest single "Display" in where there is also two more songs "The Raven"and "Pellet"
The three song are really good to listen too, with that nice balance as their other songs. The single makes you want to listen to more songs.
If you haven't heard of them before then go ahead and listen to them, even if you don't like all their songs, you will surely will like one out of these three songs
The video; is very Vkei, is dark and I really like the change of scenes, it goes very well with the song. What I liked the most was the movements of the vocalist, his expression and hand gestures, it really bring me back memories.
Anyhow now I leave the video with you so you listen the song and watch the video too!
So after a long absence, I will write this brief music review. To be honest I was waiting this video to come, so I could listen to this song.
So today I will be writing about Nightmare's new music video "Taboo"
So Taboo belongs to their new single, which will also include the track "Drastica" that is already in their new album "To be or not to be", both songs are for the movie " Doreiku boku 23nin dorei" which will be released on the 28th of June. And the single is released on the 25th of June.
The song; well the song is very Nightmare, when starts you know is Vkei. Yomi's voice as usual is perfect but is like you know Yomi's voice can do better and you kind of feel frustrated because this song is not the best and doesn't highlight Yomi's voice properly.
The video, well...not my favorite I must say. It has a sexual reference, but with Vkei you are used to the sexual reference and this video is not exception, with a reference of maybe sadism or masochism but what I didn't like was the old perverted guy. I do get "Taboo" prohibited connotation. I don't mind the masochism in sexual way but the old man just freaked me out!
Anyhow here I am leaving the video to you.
Anyhow, I love Nightmare, they are one of my favorite band but I think this is not one of their best songs.
So today is Music review day, so today's music review is B.A.P's come back!
To be honest I was scared of this come back, the promotional pictures really freaked me out, I thought was going to be a come back like Stop It or Crush. So quite scared I watched the MV yesterday and gave a sigh of relief.
Honestly I really like their though image, like in Warrior, Power,No Mercy or One Shot and I am not really fan of their cute side but love the style of coffee shop.
The song is lovely is a nice mix of coffee shop with a more lively and sweet tune. Love the beginning with the sound of the harmonica and then we start we the sweet voice of Daehyun and Youngjae. Honestly speaking this time everyone's voice fit perfectly with the melody, even Zelo who usually has a lot of energy on his rap, this time he slows down and goes with the melody perfectly.
Maybe was a risky change of style but I think it was a sucess. The song I can listen to it over and over again.
The video, is nice to look at, the scenes of London are beautiful. They guys are cute but not like in Crush, to be honest I like more in this video, is like a bit more natural, even though I am not fan of cute guys to be honest but the scenery of London really captivates you.
But the continuous smiles and the moving the head to side to side when the whistle melody is on, it kind of annoys me but again that is just me because I am not fan of cute attitude in guys. But I do like when they goof around :)
The single for my surprise only has two songs, the first one the promotional song and a second one called
오늘은 꼭, which start with a melody that made remember a sweet jazzy song, so I could describe this song as a jazzy pop song, quite simple and sweet. Once again sweet soft voices that match nicely with the softness of the song, as well as the rap with slow peace.
Conclusion, their come back is really nice, better than expected. A nice slow tune. B.A.P took the risk of something different and they succeed. These two tracks are the type of songs that you won't bore you at all and suit in anytime.
So today I am writing about the lovely IU and her comeback
If you are not familiar with her, she a Korean solo artist, very popular idol in South Korea. She started with really cute songs, because she debuted quite young so she had this quite concept, now lately she having more mature songs but different because they are not with a sexy concept like most of female solo artist may have. Her concept is young and fresh and mature too, which is more natural on her it suits her better.
The songs is sad but doesnt feel so sad, is not your typical ballad and I would doubt to call it a ballad because doesn't feel like it.It has an upbeat as well and is slow too.
Actually I prefer this song over her previous promotional song, which was good but this one is better. Now this song sounds like an old song, is it a cover? it could be, sound very much like that.
Because is not a rythm you will listen in modern music industry.
Anyhow the song is nice.
The video, is simple too and has a vintage feeling, again feel like a cover. If someone know please tell me. Usually even though I listen to Kpop, I am not really aware of the news, so it is more like I just listen to it.
I really like this side of IU, I mean I never disliked her cute side, but this one feels more real to me, more natural, without much effort and I love that old fashioned environment the video has. And I actually can understand a story line so it is great!
The Album
The first song is the promotional song, what a great way to start an album ( I really love the song)
Second song 꽃 , start with Spanish guitar (beautiful) her voice in a melody full of melancholy. And in this song her voice is beautiful and powerful, she really fits this melody
Then we have 삐에로는 우릴 보고 웃지, we start the song with clapping and a great jazzy melody, is not up beat but is not slow...it has the perfect beat, not too high or too low, just lovely! ah! and the electric, retro voice before finishing the song a great little detail!
사랑이 지나가면 is the fourth song, we start with a sweet piano and string (not sure if violin or cello) then the sweet voice of IU at a soft peace and the beautiful balance goes through the whole song.
Fifth song is 너의 의미 (Feat. 김창완) , starting with a retro melody and her voice in what we can call a happy melody but not so happy, I mean in sweet way, so it is quite soft (?) plus the song has the male voice, who has a really soft voice tone, making it perfect for the song and is in perfect harmony with IU's voice.
As the sixth song 여름밤의 꿈; and the piano start once again sweetly and full of melancholy, like each piano key is remembering a dear memory and the same can be appreciated in IU's voice, her voice is singing to those melodies, like trying to reach at them.
Lastly we have 꿍따리 샤바라 (Feat. 클론); sound of water just a briefly at the beginning, seems like waves in the rain, her sweet voice in a playful tune, then ukelele plays playfully too. The male voice seems more like talk instead of singing but it follows the harmony of the songs, sound of seagles and the songs keeps playing playfully. A really nice songs that wraps up the album.
In conclusion is an album that I enjoyed listening from the beginning to end and even replayed.
Question, because I don't know...Are these songs covers from old school songs? because it sounds like they are..anyhow if they are covers they are beautifully done :)
Now will leave you with the video
Today I will be writing about an new face in the Kpop idol industry.
For some of you her face may be new for others not. She actually was a youtuber and uploaded videos of herself singing covers from different artists and finally this girl made her debut.
The song is just exquisite! Something different from your usual Kpop songs, very natural indeed, with an indie feeling in it, the type of song that delights your ears.
Her voice is wonderful and you can appreciate so well in this song.
Honestly there is nothing bad to say about this song, just good things because the song is good! As simple as that.
The video is simple and very nice. Not awkward at all to watch, I really liked to watch it because it was natural and fun. She is just being herself while singing and playing the guitar. Again very indie like, which is wonderful.
The only thing I regret is that when I downloaded the single, it was actually just one song. it felt so unfair!
Her debut song really made me want to anticipate more songs from her and I was thinking her single will have at least two songs but not. So that was the only shameful aspect.
So now I really anticipate for more songs from her. For now just enjoy her debut.
If you are not familiar with them. They are a Korean boy idol group. When they debuted they weren't popular immediately actually it took them a while. I think with "Hyde" they finally made themselves more popular. They started with a bright concept, even kind of cute and slowly they became more dark, with songs like "On & On" their concept was vampires, with "Hyde" was quite dark; their concept was "Dr Hyde and Mr Jekyll" quite an interesting concept and the "Voodoo" was the one, the great one, the concept of a voodoo doll. Now they are known like the dark boys of the Kpop music.
Their dance is amazing, really skilled and the vocals ability, great quality.
The song: Well, what can I say? the song has power and melody. To be honest is a great song. VIXX is back with another great song. love the fact that I can listen more the other member and suit to everyone. The song highlights perfectly each member's voice.
Is a song that easily will get stuck in your head and you wouldn't mind to listen again and again.
The video has a good concept again, is not as dark as Voodoo Doll but still has that darkness but it is different. I like the concept of time, the scenery is also nice. I love how the members act with their eyes and facial expressions.
The choreography is great as well and the boys do it perfectly.
I think VIXX is gaining a good reputation as a Kpop idol group, they have quality. They nice vocals and a perfect dancing skills, their choreographic are just impecable.
Even though I like the time concept. The story line of the video is not new.
The album: the album only has three songs, Eternity, Sad Ending and La La La and Eternity instrumental version.
Sad Ending I imagined to be quite slow, more like a ballad, for my surprise has an upbeat rhythm. Is not strong as Eternity but nice song indeed. Honestly doesn't feel sad at all ^^
Then we have La La La, the song has the rhythm that you probably could imagine when reading the track title, a nice melody, a vibe the you enjoy listening, like a simple pop song and voices are just perfect.
The we have Eternity instrumental version, if you wish to sing karaoke.
In conclusion this album is really pleasant to listen to. VIXX meet my expectations a really good come back.
I think just as Infinite they have matured vocally (all the members).
So strongly recommend you to listen Eternity (the whole album) Now I live the video to watch :)
So today I will be writing about a comeback that I was really anticipating.
So Infinite is back, after many marketing procedures for their come back they finally are back with their second full lenght album.
Firts let write about their promotional song "Last Romeo"
Now if you are not familiar with Infinite then you might be asking yourself who are they. Well let me explain in a few words. Infinite is a male idol group, which has seven members. They indeed very popular in Korea and have fans around the globe as well. The famous for their precision in their choreography and always have really nice and catchy songs. They have become so popular lately that they have had last year their first world tour, visiting various places in the world.
So yeah, if you don't know them then just keep reading and watch the video I leave at the end :)
Now let's keep with the review ^o^
The song has that retro, bright aspect that it is really characteristic of Infinite, it sort of made remember their old songs, it is powerful and cheerful. Different from Destiny and Man in Love. To be honest I think it is a really good promotional song, it highlights the vocal ability of each member.Great come back song!
The video, well is not colorful as I expected, quite dark, I think is different from the song.
The style is good though, the black suits and white, quite classic and suit well to each one of them. The dance is what you will expect from Infinite indeed, precision and quality, no doubt these guys work very hard!
I love the idea of the library but I think it could have been developed better, so at the end again the story line doesn't make much sense, but it was a good try.
The album.- Season 2 -
It has ballad, dance songs and solo songs. Very nice album indeed. I am not a ballad fan but must confess that there is a ballad that melts my heart. The dance songs have nice retro beat, a sound we already are familiar with Infinite which is nice to hear again.
Then we have Woohyun solo, a nice soft ballad that highlights his voice perfectly. Then we have Sunggyu's solo, it made me remember his solo debut and actually made me want for a come back of his solo career. The song is nice, the type of song you will enjoy hearing to.
Then we have Infinite H, actually I am not really fond of this song, even though I love Infinite H and loved their debut album! but not even on their first album like their song, I mean I can listen to it but it just doesn't capture me.
And what was new was Infinite F song, I did like it and is very Infinite so in somehow at least for me wasn't much different from a Infinite song.
[UPDATE]
My apologies I didn't write song by song but at the moment I wrote this didn't have the time.So now will write properly.
First we have the intro. Usually I am not attracted to intros, but this one I actually like, is quite dramatic.
Second we Last Romeo, do I have to say it again? I really like it :)
Third we have Follow Me, a very Infinite song, once you listen you will know what I mean, it has that thing like their previous song. I like the upbeat and how the voices follow.
Fourth is 로시난테,another very Infinite song, is one of those songs that make you happy you know what I mean? just listening to it makes you mood better. I love to singing along specially the oooohh oooohhh baby :P
Fifth is 숨 좀 쉬자, another song with great vibe, there is something on this song that makes me remember Come Back Again or maybe is just me.
Sixth we have SungKyu's solo Light, as I mentioned before it made remember his debut album and makes me want for a solo come back. To be honest I love his solo songs, the song is different from Infinite, in a good way, maybe reflects more of his colors (?) I don't know but he has that something
Seventh we have Infinite H's Alone, is different from their debut album, is not favorite but I am not saying is bad. It has more like a mature feeling, I don't know how to explain, is not up beat, but is great to listen the rapping skills of Hoya and Dongwoo
Eighth we got Memories, then we are back to the Infinite style, this song gives me the impression of the sun coming out after the rain. I don't know it has the special something. All voices makes the song perfect.
Ninth we have 나란 사람 and the revolutions go down and we have a nice ballad. Even though I am not ballad fan this song is fantastic, it starts so slow and then SunKyu's voice becomes high and powerful, is a song that gives me the shivers, just love it!The cool things is that the high and powerful part is not only SunKyu but Woohyun, but you can appreciate the colors of their voices nicely.
Tenth we got Reflex and after the sweet slow song we again become ready to dance, with an up vibe song, with that nice retro melody that Infinite has the tendency to have in their songs. It is a sweet song.
Eleventh we have the debut song of Infinite F, the song is 미치겠어follows the nice sweet tune that the previous song had, like a surreal melody, very nice, very Infinite.
Twelfth we have Woohyun's solo song 눈을 감으면, a nice slow ballad, where you can appreciate his vocal quality. This solo song made me remember his first solo song on the first album, so I guess follows that harmony.
And lastly we have 소나기, once again up beat, it doesn't have that sweetness retro, is different but is something that is definitely Infinite and that you only imagine them singing this song. I like the fact that the last song has so much energy.
Conclusion, A good come back indeed! Infinite is one of those bands who have the best quality in the Kpop industry, their dance is perfect and vocals are good as well. So I am glad to hear their music again and with a melody that suit the more. Music with power and brightness as well :)
One thing I forgot to mention is that I love the fact that you can notice that the members have matured vocally, you can appreciate better the voices of the members who usually don't have much lines (Sungyol or Dongwoo) and this time in songs the lines seem more shared between members ^^
Now I will leave their latest music video-Last Romeo-
So yesterday didn't have time to write anything, my apologize, today I don't have much time yet so quickly will write a music review, so today I will write about a Japanese band;Wagakki Band.
So who are they? They are eight members, who mix traditional music with modern rock. The instruments incorporated are: Drum, Guitar, Bass, Shamisen, Koto , Shakuhachi (Japanese flute), Wadaiko, and voice.
The interesting fact about this group, is that the songs they perform are covers from Vocaloid.
For the ones who are not familiar with Vocaloid, these are virtual idols with incredible popularity in Japan. The voice is entirely electronically, you may think there is a real voice behind a cyber idol but well no...is not like movies, the voice are cyber too, which was very surprising for me to listen and feels fake, my personal taste, Vocaloid is not my style...
Anyhow this band (Wagakki Band) are pretty clever indeed and created these amazing covers, giving the songs their style and are just wonderful!
The band has a single or mini album as you wish to call it which is called Joshou (序章),
from there they released four music videos, which will leave for you to watch at the end.
Then on April they released their first full length album VOCALO Zanmai (ボカロ三昧) ,in which you can listen the song from before plus new songs as well which are different, I think they are all Vocaloid cover though but the style is different and also in some songs you can listen a male voice too, I don't know which member is singing with her but it is nice and gives a nice change.
Personal opinion they are an amazing new music proposition, if you like Vkei, Neo Japanesuqe or just a curious and open to anything new and creative, then give it a try and listen to them. In very aspect they are captivating, the videos are visually attractive, the sound that fusion of instruments just wonderful, the fast speed of the rhythm and the voice of the vocalist which is so unique, not the high pitched vocalist and the technique she posses it gives that traditional feeling too, if you are familiar with more traditional singing then you will understand too. Ah! and one thing I love at the end of some songs is that the Wadaiko player, I don't know how to describe it but we will yell in this particular way which is very traditional too, personally it just gives it that special touch, if you listen you will know what I mean. Now will stop my writing and will leave with you the videos.
So what you think?
If you are interested I am leaving the links to the social media of the band, each member also has twitter account if you wish to follow them but I will only be giving the band social media links. Random info but still quite relevant, Kurona the Wadaiko player is the vocalist of CrowxClass (I wrote a review on them previously)(^_^) Official website: http://wagakkiband.jp/ Twitter: @WagakkiBand Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/WagakkiBand
[UPDATE] I was told on twitter that Kurona (Wadaiko player) and Michiya (Guitar player) are the ones who sing. So there we go! The mistery is over (at least for me) thank you to @liannerowepop for writing me on twitter :) And also adding a very interesting comment thatshe mentions that the expression sounds like Kabuki or Noh Cry, I don't know you but I found it fascinating. ^o^
Because yesterday I couldn't write two updates, today I wish to write at least two updates, even though I cannot come up with nothing cultural related for this post, I decide to write another music review but this time instead of kpop I will focus in another genre such a music from japan and what can be called "Neo Japanesque" this movement can be understood as the fusion of what it is modern rock music with the traditional Japanese music,so we find bands that have your typical rock instrument plus their traditional instruments. You may think this mix doesn't work well here I am to make you change your mind (or try)
Today I will be writing about CrowxClass, they could be cataloged in the popular genre of Visual Kei but I will prefer to catalog them under Neo Japanesque (because of my good memories of that genre).
What is the cool thing about this group? All the members are professional Japanese instrument musicians!
They are quite new and so far they have released two music videos, if you try you can find some performances of the band or even of some members with their respective traditional instrument.
The band has a YouTube channel, Facebook page and Twitter and each member has a personal twitter account.
Now I will leave you the videos for you to hear and watch.
Now time for my personal opinion (:p), well I do like them indeed, I think they are a very promising band in the music industry of Japan and even in general because it is quite innovative. The first song I thought it lacked some power, not from the instruments but from his vocalist. Please don't misunderstand me, I like his voice and I think he has a really good voice but the instruments go over his voice. The second song you can already notice the music quality progress of the band, his voice becomes more strong but still needs a bit more of practice.
There is just one thing I want to express, I think what they need is more beauty. I don't know really how to express this, but I feel like there is something missing in the music and I am feeling is beauty or feelings.
I know my thought comes from comparison (another band's music) and I know is not good to compare one band with another because they are different. And also my comment it is just from the impression of two music videos and I haven't see them live (but will love to!!)
But as I mentioned early they are quite new and still have a lot to go through and while time passes by this band will become better and better, there is no doubt!
In conclusion this band offers good quality of music, a different proposal to your ears, so give it a try!
If you are interested I am leaving the links of the band on the social media :)
The cute and sexy G.NA is back but unfortunately for my personal opinion is not a strong comeback. I am still expecting her to come back with a powerful song that highlights her voice. I still think her debut song and album were the best and after that G.NA lowered her quality but again I know is not her fault it is just her company's fault that are not taking advantage of her voice quality. Personally I think G.NA apart from having an strong voice her character is different too, she look as she has an strong character and she very confident of herself, so I will like her concept could be reflecting that because it is more herself.
Well the song it is easy to listen to, but it is not easy to remember, is not the type of song that once you listen to it you remember it or sticks on your head, lets say the song lacks of impact. But it is really simple and once you are listening to it you quite like it but doesn't produce to want to replay. Anyhow I think is best than her previous ones but not good enough.
Now the video...it is not so awkward but still is not the most attractive for everyone I think. G.NA is cute and sexy, ok not a very original concept at all, she likes this boy and tries her best to look nice for him for this party or whatever...again nothing new because we see these type of scenes in many female idol videos. There are some awkward scenes though like when they are trying underwear and the guy is peeping on her and also sniffs her underwear, let's add too that at the beginning this guy seems gay so it doesn't fit his perverted actions on the video. Basing this on some comments for most females viewers was no appropriate, other didn't even notice. In conclusion it is just another female idol comeback, it lacks strength so it will like her other comebacks, not much impact and easily in somehow forgotten. Will have to keep waiting until Cube Ent. give her an appropriate comeback with a strong song such as her debut song.
So! Hello people! The update of today is another music review. And the review will be one of my favorite girls in the kpop world. So today I will be writing about Hyosung's solo debut "Top Secret"
So for the ones who are not familiar with her, she is a member of a Korean girls group, called Secret, the group is quite popular and has been around for quite a while, they are famous for their sexy concepts (as many other female idols). Anyhow Hyosung is one of the members of this group and is famous for her nice attitude, her "gummy" smile and glamorous body (let's face it most of Korean female idols are just skinny) my personal opinion she looks more healthy.
Now lets talk firts about her song "Good Night Kiss"
The song is cathchy, it is indeed a good selling song! Usually I tend not to like many songs of female idols, because they have something that is quite annoying and quite forced and also you easily get bored of it. But is also my opinion because I prefer song that have more impact (vocal impact) and are more strong in sound. And not many female idols have a strong voice and even if they do, their companies don't give them songs where they can show that potential and give them plain rhythm. Personally I don't think Hyosung's voice is the greatest one, please don't misunderstand me, I love her but I have to be objective. I think though her voice has potential and maybe her company should train her properly for singing and give her better song that will highlight her voice.
Now lets talk more about the song. As I mentioned before the song is great as selling her debut and it is the song that I will put on my playlist but, there is always a but... it doesn't highlight her voice. But I don't have anything else to complain, personally I enjoyed the song, it captured me immediately, don't know if I will get tired of it soon, I actually I don't think so but maybe later as usually happens with commercial pop. But is a good hit song. Easy to recognize after you listen to it, as a marketing point of view it is perfect selling!
Now the video...the video is sexy, she gorgeus and stunning, I mean if you don't notice that you are blind but for me as a female it is quite awkard to watch. I can recognize if a girl has a good body and I will compliment on that fact, I like to see if a girl is wearing clothes that highlight her attributes. And as I said before I really like her. But the video is clearly targeting males which it is quite unfair. I mean when I was watching I felt awkard and was hoping that noone noticed me watching this video, because felt like watching something bad. I could be my perception but I read some comments and many females didn't felt comfortable watching this. TS Ent could still make a good video with a sexy concept for her but targeting both genders and not selling the image of Hyosung as meat. No offense, but I believe in sexiness that is more natural, not forced and more mature. Wearing little clother and moving provocativedoesn't mean sexiness. Maturity, femenine and elegance show sexiness as well. So my complain is more to the media that is selling missinterpretation of concepts. Because I also know many males who don't feel comfortable with a girl showing too much or moving provocative, they find it fake and awkard.
Ofcourse I know Hyosung can't go against her company, as many idols, and have to do as told.
I like her more in her underwear CF or whatever...she looks more natural and not so forced.
I mean you can tell she is the sexy type but she the lovely type too. She is natural.
Conclusion the image on the video, doesn't suit her completly. She is sexy but cute too, she needs to display her natural beauty and I am sure she has that elegant and feminine sexiness.
Now lets talk about the mini album. the other songs are: Don't know women (feat J'Kyun) - Good Night Kiss - I Hate Night Time.
-Don't know women; is up beat, very lively song, for just one details reminded me of "Poison" of Secret (her group) but it is a nice song indeed, another song to my playlist.
-Good Night Kiss; you already know...
-I hate night time; another up beat song, nice for the playlist.
In conclusion, in somehow I am glad to hear a ballad and hear some more energetic songs. As debut, very lively, it is a shame that there is only three songs though...I think everyone will remember her debut and probably we could expect more as solo from her.
So Today is music review day too. And the chosen song is Mellow Spring (봄 타나봐) by Seo In Guk.
Who is Seo In Guk? He is a Korean solo singer. Most of his songs are ballad and his voice is soft and sweet a real delight for your ears.
So he is back with this simple and sweet song. If you are already familiar with his type of music, you will be glad to hear that he doesn't change his style and has this melodies that highlight his voice perfectly. If you are not familiar with him and think that because he sing ballad song, he could be quite boring, I will tell you, take the time and listen to him, you won't regret.
This song is fresh, perfect to listen at any time, while walking, looking at the window, enjoying a cup of coffee. It has a slow beat but very lively at the same time.
The video is simple and very creative as well, it matches the song perfectly. He is shown in a very natural way, you can tell that there is not a forced attitude on him. He is just singing comfortably, drinking lots of coffee while waiting for a phone call. A very simple video when you even can feel identified yourself on his position, when you are waiting for "that" phone call would feel like time is eternal no matter what you do!
The colors on this video are also very nice, not too dark and not so bright, just very natural. While watching the video you enjoy the song as well.
What else can I say? Just watch it and enjoy it.
If you don't like the video, I am sure you will like the song anyways.
What about you? Have you watched? What did you think?
